Automated backups, DR planning and tested restores — because backups you cannot restore are worthless.
Every organisation knows they need backups. Few have tested whether those backups actually work when it matters. innade.cloud backup and disaster recovery services go beyond scheduled snapshots — we design recovery strategies, automate backup schedules, test restores regularly and document runbooks so your team knows exactly what to do when an incident occurs. The same rigour protects OSCA Solutions production systems including CoreAuth and Frontline Desk.
Backup and disaster recovery are two related but distinct disciplines. Backup ensures you have copies of your data. Disaster recovery ensures you can restore operations within acceptable timeframes after a failure — whether that is hardware failure, ransomware, human error or a natural disaster.
innade.cloud provides automated backup for every layer of your stack: website files, email mailboxes, database dumps and full server snapshots. Backups are stored separately from production infrastructure — geographically distinct where required — with encryption at rest and in transit.
Disaster recovery planning goes further. We work with you to define Recovery Point Objectives (how much data loss is acceptable) and Recovery Time Objectives (how quickly you need to be back online). We document procedures, assign responsibilities and schedule restore tests to prove the plan works — not just on paper, but in practice.
The cost of data loss far exceeds the cost of proper backup and DR. A tested recovery plan turns a potential catastrophe into a manageable incident.
Backup strategies are tailored to your infrastructure. Managed databases include built-in automated backups; VPS and cloud hosting add snapshot schedules; and standalone DR planning covers multi-tier architectures with complex dependencies.
Grow with innade.cloud: Backup & DR works alongside Monitoring & Reliability for alerting and uptime tracking, Managed Databases for automated database backups with point-in-time recovery, and Managed Security to prevent incidents before they require recovery.
Frequency depends on your requirements and service tier. Database backups typically run daily with point-in-time recovery for managed databases. Server snapshots can be scheduled daily or more frequently for critical systems. We configure schedules during onboarding.
Yes — and we recommend you do too. Restore testing is a core part of our DR service. Untested backups are a false sense of security; we verify restores work before you need them in an emergency.
Backups are stored separately from production infrastructure, encrypted at rest. For customers requiring geographic redundancy, off-site copies in distinct EU data centres are available.
Backup creates copies of your data. Disaster recovery is the complete plan — including procedures, timelines, responsibilities and tested restores — to return to normal operations after a significant failure. Both are essential; backup alone is insufficient without a recovery plan.
If you have current, immutable backups with a tested restore plan, recovery is significantly faster. We strongly recommend establishing backup and DR before an incident occurs. Contact us immediately if you are currently affected — we will assess recovery options based on your backup status.
